Projects / Film / The Life Story of David Lloyd George

This 1918 bio-pic about World War I prime minister David Lloyd George was confiscated by the authorities at the time, with twenty thousand pounds paid to the film makers as compensation.
The film was rediscovered and restored over 75 years later and a new soundtrack commissioned from John Hardy for live performance by orchestra. The premiere was given by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Michael Rafferty.
The Life Story of David Lloyd George was directed by Maurice Elvey, written by Sidney Low and stars Norman Page.
